What is Altrusa?

Altrusa Club of Chula Vista is a fundraising club which provides our volunteers with the resources to work on literacy and education projects. We make an impact on improvement of the South Bay communities with our funding and hands on projects.

Club Charter

Altrusa International of Chula Vista was organized on November 21, 1957, thanks to the National City Altrusa Club who helped found our club. Our club was chartered on June 24, 1958, with twenty-two charter members. Ray-Etta Morrell was the first president of our chartered club. Our club formed its own foundation, Altrusa Club of Chula Vista, Inc. Foundation in November 2006. The Foundation holds one fundraiser a year to fund all of our club's service projects. Our club chartered an ASTRA Club of Southwestern College on June 16, 2010.
